Cottage, Polperro

Listed Building Consent and Design Advice

Alfie Robinson Heritage produced a Heritage Statement and Impact Assessment for internal and external renovations to a picturesque Grade II listed, 18th century cottage in the heart of Polperro, said to be Cornwall’s most-photographed fishing villages. Challenges of the site included a set of severely decayed lintels and windows, which were to be replaced with double-glazed casements to the same design. Knowing the high level of scrutiny that this type of work attracts, Alfie produced a dedicated Appendix with photographic evidence of their condition. Alfie also provided design advice relating to replacement lintels to achieve a sympathetic facade and planning success. Listed Building Consent and Planning Permission were granted in November 2024.
